Blogmas Day 2: One of my favorite Christmas songs

What child is this?

This song is one of my favorite Christmas songs and is based out of Luke chapter 1… It's so beautiful, precious and amazing. Reading it you can really feel Mary’s heart and start to see how she felt so unworthy of the gift that God was giving her…realizing the fathers love is amazing. Now we all know that you cannot have a baby without being intimate with someone, but with God anything is possible.  If Mary was to have a baby without the usual way of having a baby, then God was going to have that happen. God gives us things that we are not qualified to get, he gives us amazing gifts and nothing we can do can earn what he already has and nothing we do can make him not love us. Just like Elizabeth, her relative, was really old and was told that she could never have children, but still God blessed her with a child.  When you realize how much God loves you, When you accept God into your heart and believe that with him, things are possible, then sometimes unexpected, unexplained things don't seem quite so scary. It just makes you feel  loved and wonderful.  God has amazing things for you and nothing you could ever do, could make him love you less. So as you read these verses in this chapter, as you read the story of how Jesus came to be part of this world and change the way people might feel about unexplained things, just think of how Mary might have felt, and how surprised she must have been…and know that God is an amazing God, and this story was the start of how his son was brought into the world and it's a blessing.  Even if you are not a Christian, you can understand how Mary felt, especially if you have ever been told to do something that you felt was very impossible, but somehow you did it, and did it well.

what child is this

Here is the story out of the bible:

Luke 1:26-38 New International Version (NIV)7
The Birth of Jesus Foretold
26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[a] the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month.37 For no word from God will ever fail.”
38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

Have you ever been asked to do something that you felt was impossible, but somehow you ended up doing it, and did it well?  How did you feel when you accomplished the impossible?  Did it change your way of thinking for a moment?  Answer in the comments below.  Have a wonderful day and stay tuned for Blogmas day 3 :)

Day 1 of Blogmas: Stuffing your face on Thanksgiving Day

blogmas day 1

Hello my sweet friends.  Welcome today  is the first day  of Blogmas!!! Today's blogmas post is going to be about my thanksgiving week.  My thanksgiving was great.  We had two thanksgivings.  We celebrated early with my family, and then celebrated on the day with my husband's family.  Lots of food and just great to time with family.  It was a great time to be with family and reflect on all the things that we have to be thankful for this year.  For me I have so much to be thankful for.  But for most, my son.  He is my inspiration and the reason why I wake up everyday.  He is my pride and joy, and watching him live each day happy, just makes me proud and lets me know that I am doing what I need to do.  I am so proud to be his mom, he has come so far, and he's just going to keep growing and smiling and living life joyfully and happy and that's all that I can ask for.  I am also thankful that my husband and my son are getting closer.  He always wants to spend time with his daddy and that is what I've been wanting for a while now.  My son is 2 years old, but for the longest time, he didn't really want to spend time with his daddy and now he does, and I'm so thankful for that each and every day that they spend time together.

In the comments below tell me: How  your thanksgiving was?
Stay tuned for tomorrow for Blogmas day 2 :)

Show love to the world

I Need A Hero: By Bonnie Tyler
Chorus:
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life
Before the actual post
That song is perfect for what I'm going to be talking about today.  Hello my sweet friends and welcome back to another Chat With Vina Blog Post.  I hope you all had a good week and weekend. Today I'm going to be talking about what I'm thankful for and what happened on November 13, 2015. This blog post is going to be long, so just warning you...go get a cup of coffee or tea or whatever your choice of drink is and just relax, reflect and read.
Today I’m thankful for my life.  On November 13, 2015 Paris was attacked by terrorists.  This is such a sad time for them because they didn’t know it was going to happen.  I wish that it never happened, but it did and I can’t imagine how anyone could be so cruel and do that. Don’t take your life for granted because you never know when your life is going to end.  I think that if there was more love in the world, this might not have happened.  If people really loved each other instead of having hatred inside, or having the audacity to commit such a horrible crime on someone else or other people, then this life would be so different.  It saddens me to think that there is no safe place anywhere in the world.  There is no safe hide out, or sanctuary that you can go in and feel completely ok with living. There are so many people out there who don’t want to live, who want to end their lives, who are so depressed because they feel they are not worth anything…but I’m telling you…you are worth so much, and your life is meant to be lived, and enjoyed. Not only is there love, but love can surpass anything; love can conquer, and overcome anything.
We need to think of Paris at this time, and think of all those people that lost their lives, and they didn’t even do anything to deserve it, and we need to pray and make sure they know someone in the world loved them.  Someone cared about who they were, what their lives were like and that they did not deserve to die like this. So today I just want you all to think about this, and to tell your family, friends, and neighbors that you love them.  Let them know that they were thought of or that you are thinking of them and you care about them whether that is sending a card, giving a hug, say I love you or something encouraging along those lines, whatever it might be…show them that you care about them.  And love yourself, because love is so powerful and even though we may not live in a world that seems safe and secure, we can still find something, or someone to love including ourselves. .  Your life is not something that should be taken for granted because it could be ended at any time.  So just be happy that you are alive today because I know that I’m really thankful that I am alive and healthy even though we live in a world that can be quite scary.  And remember to SHOW THE LOVE.love 2

Day 2 of what I'm thankful for

Hello my sweet friends.  Today I will tell you the second thing I’m thankful for.  I’m thankful for silence.  Silence is the one thing that can just be amazing when you have the chance to experience it.  You can just let your mind wander because it’s all silent around you.  Silence is incredible, it’s sweet, it’s rare and it’s rewarding.  It can be scary, life changing and remarkable all at the same time.  So when you get the chance to have it silent, appreciate it because it doesn’t happen all the time.

One thing I’m thankful for Series

What I'm Thankful For Day 1: Family

Hello my sweet friends. So today starts my series for the thanksgiving month…what I’m thankful for.  Twice a week, I will write a post about what I’m thankful for that day, and this will be up until November 24th. So let’s get started.
Today I’m thankful for my family.
-My family has been my biggest supporters, helpers, and there is no way I could thank them enough.  When I was dealing with things with my son (medical) things, they were there for me.  When I was stressed out and just needed to vent, they were there.  When I need a babysitter, they are always welcome to babysit my toddler.  I feel that family members are those people that are hard to replace; even if you don’t have that good of a relationship with them, they are still your family, no matter how messed up, crazy, funny, can’t stand to be around them they can be, they are still your family.  They are the people that God has blessed you with and they are the ones who will most likely be there for you in the end.
Let me know in the comments below: What is one thing you are thankful for today?  Til next time <3

Online School VS Regular School

Hello my sweet friends and welcome back to another Chat With Vina blog post.  Today I'm going to be talking about the Pros and Cons of Online School Vs Regular School. I have done both so I can relate to everything that I'm saying in this post.  But in the end, it's all up to what you prefer.
Online:
Pros:
-You can do it at your own pace
-You can do it anywhere you want (on a train, on a bus, in your house, etc)
-You can wear whatever you want (pajamas, a suit, hair messy, no make up etc)
-You can talk anyway you would like
-You can sleep as long as you would like, (you don't have to be up at a certain time)
Cons:
-You have to do everything on your own
-You don't have a professor right there in front of you to ask questions to or concerns
-If you don't understand something, it's a lot harder to figure it out on your own
-You have to look up the research on your own
Regular School:
Pros:
-You have someone there to ask questions to
-You can meet new people everyday (games, events, etc)
-You can study with friends
-Can be a bit easier depending on your major
Cons:
-You have to be up at a certain time so you don't miss class
-You can get homesick if you live far away from family
-You have to actually sit in a classroom for as many hours as it is
-If you have children, you have to find some place for them to go while you are in class
-It's more expensive than online college
-----------------------------------------------------------------
So in my opinion they are almost the same as that each one has around the same as many pros and cons as the other.  But it all depends on what you prefer.  I have always done better online than in a regular classroom setting...but I keep my studying methods about the same way.
In the comments below which one do you prefer: Online or Regular?

Stay Positive Even If Things Get Hard

positive 2
You wouldn't think that keeping a positive attitude could really do much, but it really can.  I know for me, when things get hard, I just want to get mad and angry and I don't want to be happy, but when I'm being positive and thinking that things will work out, I feel a little bit better. Just having a positive outlook on life can change the way you see things.  So the next time that you get discouraged about something, or angry that something didn't go right...think of something positive that has happened to you today or that day and week, and remember that.  Remember when it rains, it pours, but there is always the sun or a rainbow on the other end...so when bad things happen, there is always going to be some sort of a positive light that comes out of it.
positive
Have a great day :)
Note:
I post Tuesdays and Thursdays of every week, so if there is a topic that you would like me to cover, let me know in the comments below. :)

Update: College, being a mom, a wife, having a life

Latest-Updates
Hey my sweet friends.  So many of you might have noticed that I have not been posting a lot in the past week. Ok I'm going to share something with you...being a mom, a wife and a college student is hard.  As some of you may know, I am in college.  I'm working on my masters degree for healthcare administration.  I already have my associates in social work management and my bachelors in Psychology. I have done really well in school my whole life and college was not that different.  But the class I'm currently taking is harder than I thought it could be. To give you kind of a way to understand...last week it took me all week to work on 1 part of 4 for an assignment.  I had to hand in the first part of the whole project.  I wrote 16 pages of information from what management is to basically how I would implement the improvements.  Basically I'm in charge of implementing a new strategy of making an organization work better and I have to improve the staff development and the rest of the team.  It doesn't sound hard, except it really is. It was really hard because I have not been doing that great in my class last week, so I was really nervous as to how this first part would turn out.  So it took me all week, thankfully my parents decided to take my 2 year old for the weekend so it helped out a little bit.  But on top of that, I have speech therapy every week for my son, I have to make sure to make time for my son and my husband, and myself, and I have this blog.  And I just got done writing part 2 of the final project which was 13 pages of information. Now I love the nursing field, I didn't for the longest time, but being a CNA, getting my certification  and working in a nursing home really changed my perspective... so being an administrator for a nursing home or hospital would be pretty nice.  I'm about 6 classes away from achieving my masters...so I have a little less then a year left of college.
Now I take classes online but to give you kind of an idea of how hard online classes are compared to going to a regular campus...you are learning the material on your own without a teacher to really go through it with you and guide you.  And since I'm a health care student, I write papers...anywhere from 13 pages to 20 or 30 pages long. I know hurts your brain right lol...anyway  I will do a separate blog post about this...but health care management is in the nursing field so I have to know a lot. This all being said...it's been really stressful.  Thankfully I did really well on the first part of the assignment that I was so scared I would do bad on. So as much as I want this blog to be a priority, it just hasn't been.  I really want my masters so I can do something different or go to nursing school and become a nurse...that is still in the far back of my mind lol  The good thing is working as a CNA in a nursing home, I got to see what nurses really do, and I was around some pretty cool nurses, nurses that I look up to because they taught me alot and they made me respect what they do even more.  I love helping people and I don't know...I'm just writing what's on my mind guys lol  But anyway that is why I have not been posting.  I'm really sorry about not posting much, but being a mom, a wife and in college...they are my first priority always...and it can be stressful at times.  That being said though...I did make time to have a date day and night with my husband...we went shopping, cooked dinner and had a Jurassic park marathon because I love those movies...and we watched the first season of the Big Bang Theory.  Today my son came home from my parent's house and we just played with him and had fun.  I do have some posts that I am planning on writing but I'm also trying this new blogging schedule.  I'm going to see how it goes...so here it is:
Monday
-Write post
Tuesday
-Publish post
-reply to comments
Wednesday
-write post
Thursday
-publish post
-reply to comments
Friday
-Brainstorm topics
-reply to comments
Saturdays & Sundays
OFF!!
Now this is something I'm trying...that way I get 2 posts up a week, so my readers can expect that.  This also gives me the time I need to spend with family, do my homework...especially Mondays because that day is when I am finishing up the homework that is due that week.  It also works well because Wednesdays are family days, so I normally don't post those days, and so are Saturdays. So I will see how this works out, and hopefully you all will like my posts.  I will talk to you all later.  Sorry this is long but I really needed to update you all especially those who read my posts so that you didn't think I just randomly left.   Have a wonderful day :)   Just remember.....I'm

Activities my 2 year old is loving right now

Hey my sweet friends.  So I'm sharing today what activities and my 2 year old is enjoying.  Hope you love them.
So something before we get into this...I DO NOT POST ON WEDNESDAYS...this is because Wednesdays are family days.  We usually go to my parent's house that day, and stay all day, spending time with them and my siblings...so if you don't see one on that day, that is why.  I post when I have time...with a 2 year old running around, and things I need to do....I don't have a set schedule.  I am also a college student as well...so if I don't post, that is why.
What I didn't add in here were books.  He loves books and coloring and playing with playdoh....so here are more activities he loves.

Never Lose Who You Really Are Inside

never lose you
Hey my sweet friends.  So I got inspired to write this post from a show that I love..."House Of DVF".  Now if you don't know what that is it's just a fashion show where Diane Von Furtenberg tries to find the next grand ambassador "(Diane Von Furstenberg‘s new show, House of DVF, will feature young contestants competing for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to work closely with the iconic designer and travel the world as a “DVF girl.” (LINK AT THE BOTTOM) This is an awesome show and if you want to read more about it, just look up her website, and I will leave another website below that talks more about it.  Anyway back to the blog post...I watched last night's episode and she told a girl something that I really want to address today and that is-Diane quotes "Don't ever lose yourself.  Always make sure you can smile at your shadow, wink at yourself in the mirror and say Hi."  I absolutely loved that.  Lately I feel like I have been so consumed in dealing with not being friends with a former friend, that I have let my true inner self slip away.  The things that make me (Me) were slipping away.  So recently I have been making time for myself every day, whether that is writing on this blog, playing my piano; learning a new song, playing with my son, reading, or writing in my "evening pages," I have just been getting back to what I lost about myself.true to yourself
I have learned that by being myself, I can truly be happy because I know who I am, and I needed to be reminded of who I was, so I could be happy in this present time.  I have learned that instead of living in the past, I want to live in the NOW, and really embrace life NOW. When you lose yourself, it's really sad and a lot of the times, it;s hard to get it back, but when you just realize that what ever it is that has made your inner self slip away, whatever it is that has just created you to be someone you are not happy with it or someone you just don't recognize anymore, just remember that you can get it back if you really want to; it's not impossible.  But if there is anything I have learned about finding myself, which I will do a complete blog post about, is that you never want to lose who you are.  You always want to stay true to yourself, whether that's what you wear, or your personality, or whatever, you always want to stay true to who you are.  So be amazing, do something that makes you happy today, inspire others and STAY TRUE TO WHO YOU ARE.  That's all for today, I hope that you got something out of this post and if some of you don't know, I have officially moved to wordpress, so I will leave this link in the information below.  Always remember to comment below, I love to read your comments, share and follow me on my social media websites :)
