Your Life is the Unfolding Journey of God's Creation

embrace your journey
I read this the other night and I loved it.  This is going to be a short post.  The life that you are living is a creation of God.  He is the one who has your journey already mapped out, you are just taking control and living it.  Whether that is going to school, working, having children, following your dreams...whatever it is...it is your life and as it unfolds, you can see the life that God has created for you.  So don't just live life, but live it to the fullest.  Embrace the life God has created for you and never forget how lucky you are to be on this earth. Thanks for reading and I hope this short post was an inspiration to someone today.  Remember that:

Update: College, being a mom, a wife, having a life

Latest-Updates
Hey my sweet friends.  So many of you might have noticed that I have not been posting a lot in the past week. Ok I'm going to share something with you...being a mom, a wife and a college student is hard.  As some of you may know, I am in college.  I'm working on my masters degree for healthcare administration.  I already have my associates in social work management and my bachelors in Psychology. I have done really well in school my whole life and college was not that different.  But the class I'm currently taking is harder than I thought it could be. To give you kind of a way to understand...last week it took me all week to work on 1 part of 4 for an assignment.  I had to hand in the first part of the whole project.  I wrote 16 pages of information from what management is to basically how I would implement the improvements.  Basically I'm in charge of implementing a new strategy of making an organization work better and I have to improve the staff development and the rest of the team.  It doesn't sound hard, except it really is. It was really hard because I have not been doing that great in my class last week, so I was really nervous as to how this first part would turn out.  So it took me all week, thankfully my parents decided to take my 2 year old for the weekend so it helped out a little bit.  But on top of that, I have speech therapy every week for my son, I have to make sure to make time for my son and my husband, and myself, and I have this blog.  And I just got done writing part 2 of the final project which was 13 pages of information. Now I love the nursing field, I didn't for the longest time, but being a CNA, getting my certification  and working in a nursing home really changed my perspective... so being an administrator for a nursing home or hospital would be pretty nice.  I'm about 6 classes away from achieving my masters...so I have a little less then a year left of college.
Now I take classes online but to give you kind of an idea of how hard online classes are compared to going to a regular campus...you are learning the material on your own without a teacher to really go through it with you and guide you.  And since I'm a health care student, I write papers...anywhere from 13 pages to 20 or 30 pages long. I know hurts your brain right lol...anyway  I will do a separate blog post about this...but health care management is in the nursing field so I have to know a lot. This all being said...it's been really stressful.  Thankfully I did really well on the first part of the assignment that I was so scared I would do bad on. So as much as I want this blog to be a priority, it just hasn't been.  I really want my masters so I can do something different or go to nursing school and become a nurse...that is still in the far back of my mind lol  The good thing is working as a CNA in a nursing home, I got to see what nurses really do, and I was around some pretty cool nurses, nurses that I look up to because they taught me alot and they made me respect what they do even more.  I love helping people and I don't know...I'm just writing what's on my mind guys lol  But anyway that is why I have not been posting.  I'm really sorry about not posting much, but being a mom, a wife and in college...they are my first priority always...and it can be stressful at times.  That being said though...I did make time to have a date day and night with my husband...we went shopping, cooked dinner and had a Jurassic park marathon because I love those movies...and we watched the first season of the Big Bang Theory.  Today my son came home from my parent's house and we just played with him and had fun.  I do have some posts that I am planning on writing but I'm also trying this new blogging schedule.  I'm going to see how it goes...so here it is:
Monday
-Write post
Tuesday
-Publish post
-reply to comments
Wednesday
-write post
Thursday
-publish post
-reply to comments
Friday

Saturdays & Sundays
OFF!!
Now this is something I'm trying...that way I get 2 posts up a week, so my readers can expect that.  This also gives me the time I need to spend with family, do my homework...especially Mondays because that day is when I am finishing up the homework that is due that week.  It also works well because Wednesdays are family days, so I normally don't post those days, and so are Saturdays. So I will see how this works out, and hopefully you all will like my posts.  I will talk to you all later.  Sorry this is long but I really needed to update you all especially those who read my posts so that you didn't think I just randomly left.   Have a wonderful day :)   Just remember.....I'm

Activities my 2 year old is loving right now

Hey my sweet friends.  So I'm sharing today what activities and my 2 year old is enjoying.  Hope you love them.
So something before we get into this...I DO NOT POST ON WEDNESDAYS...this is because Wednesdays are family days.  We usually go to my parent's house that day, and stay all day, spending time with them and my siblings...so if you don't see one on that day, that is why.  I post when I have time...with a 2 year old running around, and things I need to do....I don't have a set schedule.  I am also a college student as well...so if I don't post, that is why.
What I didn't add in here were books.  He loves books and coloring and playing with playdoh....so here are more activities he loves.

Never Lose Who You Really Are Inside

never lose you
Hey my sweet friends.  So I got inspired to write this post from a show that I love..."House Of DVF".  Now if you don't know what that is it's just a fashion show where Diane Von Furtenberg tries to find the next grand ambassador "(Diane Von Furstenberg‘s new show, House of DVF, will feature young contestants competing for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to work closely with the iconic designer and travel the world as a “DVF girl.” (LINK AT THE BOTTOM) This is an awesome show and if you want to read more about it, just look up her website, and I will leave another website below that talks more about it.  Anyway back to the blog post...I watched last night's episode and she told a girl something that I really want to address today and that is-Diane quotes "Don't ever lose yourself.  Always make sure you can smile at your shadow, wink at yourself in the mirror and say Hi."  I absolutely loved that.  Lately I feel like I have been so consumed in dealing with not being friends with a former friend, that I have let my true inner self slip away.  The things that make me (Me) were slipping away.  So recently I have been making time for myself every day, whether that is writing on this blog, playing my piano; learning a new song, playing with my son, reading, or writing in my "evening pages," I have just been getting back to what I lost about myself.true to yourself
I have learned that by being myself, I can truly be happy because I know who I am, and I needed to be reminded of who I was, so I could be happy in this present time.  I have learned that instead of living in the past, I want to live in the NOW, and really embrace life NOW. When you lose yourself, it's really sad and a lot of the times, it;s hard to get it back, but when you just realize that what ever it is that has made your inner self slip away, whatever it is that has just created you to be someone you are not happy with it or someone you just don't recognize anymore, just remember that you can get it back if you really want to; it's not impossible.  But if there is anything I have learned about finding myself, which I will do a complete blog post about, is that you never want to lose who you are.  You always want to stay true to yourself, whether that's what you wear, or your personality, or whatever, you always want to stay true to who you are.  So be amazing, do something that makes you happy today, inspire others and STAY TRUE TO WHO YOU ARE.  That's all for today, I hope that you got something out of this post and if some of you don't know, I have officially moved to wordpress, so I will leave this link in the information below.  Always remember to comment below, I love to read your comments, share and follow me on my social media websites :)

Letting Go of What is Weighing You Down

Note before reading...original post is from wordpress on October 9, 2015

Hello my sweet friends.  Welcome to my new set up on wordpress.  This is my first time using this, so I'm just learning everything.  I hope you all like these posts as much as I do.  Today's post is going to be about letting go of what is weighing you down.  So for the past couple of years, I have been dealing with something personal and it was really hurting me inside.  I was really hurt and it was affecting my life because I just could not understand why it happened, and if things could get back to the way they were.  But the other day, I decided that it was time to let it go. I talked to this person about what I was thinking, and it just made me feel better that I didn't keep it in anymore. What I learned from this was that it's ok to let things go, especially if they are affecting  your life and not making you happy.  If something is just making you unhappy, and you just don't feel like yourself, then maybe it's time to think about it, evaluate it and decide whether  or not it's time to let it go, so that you can be the person you want to be.  I can tell you that I feel alot better knowing that things will be ok, and that sometimes things are not meant to last.  I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders and I can finally feel free and alive again; and that's a great feeling. I hope that you all get some inspiration from this post and think about what is making you unhappy and see if it's time you let it go; out of your life...so that you can create a bran new happy life for yourself because everyone deserves to be happy.  Til next time....Vina <3

My fall/winter Comfort Food

What is your fall/winter comfort food?  What is it that you crave or makes you remember something?  Well mine is oatmeal.  I love oatmeal.  It takes me back to childhood when my dad would make us oatmeal when it was really cold outside.  We would eat it for breakfast before we went to school that way our belly's were full, and we were warm on the inside atleast lol.  This week has been a long week, full of wiping noses from a sick child, to feeling sick myself.  Plus my toddler loves giving me his colds...he just loves to share lol  I had oatmeal this morning because I really wanted comfort food, and man did it hit the spot.  Oatmeal and a nice cup of hot tea when you are not feeling the greatest is just a blessing lol.  So of course I had to take a picture of it.

I normally put apples in my oatmeal, but I didn't have any so I just put maple syrup in it and lots of cinnamon and it tasted so good.

Question of the day:
What is your comfort food in the fall and winter seasons?  Leave your answers in the comments below and have a fabulous day :)
